Fairfield Technologies successfully completes year four of support to Raytheon’s AWIPS program at the National Weather Service

Chantilly, VA- May 30, 2009 —Fairfield Technologies Inc. (FTI) has completed the fourth year of its subcontract with the Raytheon Company in support of the Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS) at the National Weather Service, NOAA. The current program managed by Raytheon and its AWIPS team members now enters its fifth year of a ten year contract running through 2014.

FTI supports the AWIPS Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract administered by
Raytheon with systems administration, network and systems modernization, and verification and validation services. FTI personnel include expert systems administration and testing personnel with both academic and applied experience in the meteorological sciences. The Raytheon AWIPS program utilizes ITIL methodologies and was one of the earliest registered ISO 20000 programs in the United States.
