Fairfield Technologies awarded National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Mentor-Protégé agreement with the Raytheon Company

Chantilly, VA- August 24, 2009 —Fairfield Technologies Inc. (FTI) is pleased to announce its award of a Mentor-Protégé agreement with the Raytheon Company under the auspices of the Office of Small Business Programs at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), effective August 2009. The renewable agreement will initially be in place for a period of one year and will be pursued in cooperation with Raytheon programs operating in Riverdale, Maryland.

The intent of Mentor-Protégé programs is to enhance the maturity of small businesses’ operations and services to better position the protégé firms to bid, win, and deliver on government contracts. FTI will engage with its designated Raytheon mentor program contacts to further its development of key program management processes and to augment its current performance abilities for technical aspects of NASA and earth sciences programs.

“Selection as a protégé for Raytheon’s NASA program promises solid returns to FTI’s corporate processes and current performance,” said Kenneth Fried, President of FTI. “FTI is well positioned to benefit from this agreement given our investment in earth sciences technology support and Raytheon’s proven abilities as a mentor firm. We strongly appreciate the opportunity to support Raytheon, NASA, the Goddard Space Flight Center, and their users, customers and stakeholders on this critical Earth Sciences effort.”
