Fairfield Technologies achieves SEI CMMI Level 3 rating, company-wide

Chantilly, VA- June 3, 2009 —Fairfield Technologies Inc. (FTI) was appraised as fully compliant at Maturity Level 3 of the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI®-DEV) version 1.2 in February 2009. Raytheon weather program achieves ISO 20000:2005 Information Technology Registration; Subcontractor Fairfield Technologies Inc. recognized for efforts

Silver Spring, MD—October 1, 2008 — The Information Technology Service Management System in use at the Raytheon Advanced Weather Interactive Processing Systems (AWIPS) program at the National Weather Service at NOAA successfully achieved registration to the ISO/IEC 20000-1:2005 standard for IT Service Management in September 2008. The Raytheon AWIPS project is one of a small number of ISO 20000 registrations held by organizations in the United States. The AWIPS team utilizes a concept of operations closely aligned to the Information Technology Information Library (ITIL). Continue reading

Fairfield Technologies sponsors “Operation Helping Hands” breakfast for Walter Reed

Chantilly, VA- February 8, 2008 —Fairfield Technologies Inc. (FTI) today sponsored a breakfast fundraiser at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, to benefit Operation Helping Hands, a support and assistance organization for families of active duty wounded and injured military personnel. Fairfield Technologies opens new Northern Virginia offices in Chantilly

Chantilly, VA – January 2, 2007 —Fairfield Technologies Inc. (FTI) announces its new Virginia office located in suburban Chantilly. The new facility houses FTI’s administrative, marketing, business development, and human resources groups. The office offers additional office and meeting space for project personnel located in the Virginia and Washington, DC commuting region, and will also serve as FTI’s primary corporate training facility.

“Our Chantilly facility gives us great flexibility to respond to client needs and provide both permanent and temporary office space for consulting and engineering personnel,” noted Kenneth Fried, FTI President. “With this facility we are ready to grow yet again in 2007.”

Fairfield Technologies named a subcontractor under CSC NINDS contract award

Chantilly, VA- February 12, 2007 —Fairfield Technologies Inc. (FTI) signed a subcontract to support Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) on its National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) contract beginning February 2007. NINDS is an institute of the National Institutes of Health and is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland.

CSC’s contract provides Web services support to NINDS researchers and staffs and to external clients as well. FTI will support upgrades to NINDS Web sites and portals to achieve compliance with Federal information security and accessibility standards. FTI personnel will also address Web content management requirements while maintaining help desk functions for NINDS Web services.

“FTI is pleased to partner with CSC to support the important work of NINDS research and medical staffs,” said Kenneth Fried, President of FTI. “Our personnel will provide the highest quality support using our proven Web development and sustaining methodologies.”
