Summary

FTI team members provided technical leadership to plan and implement a comprehensive yet practical and cost-effective Year 2000 (Y2K) testing program MCI Local Services.

Applications

All business and technical functions required to provide telephone and telecommunications service, including:

  • Support systems, implemented using web-based and client/server architectures

  • Developed detailed testing guidelines and templates, training key personnel in their use.
  • Worked with application teams to successfully plan and implement testing efforts and monitor results.
  • Recommended specific improvements to enhance performance.
  • Identified and promoted company and industry "best practices" for testing.
  • Supported risk mitigation and contingency planning efforts.
  • Conducted software and service evaluation and selection studies.
  • Gave management briefings on software quality assurance.
