Fairfield Technologies’ Partnership for Technology Research (PTR) is an internship program that aims to develop vision, thought leadership, and technical expertise in tomorrow’s leaders. FTI seeks bright, articulate undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in emerging information technologies and innovative business models to contribute to our corporate research effort. The outcome of this research informs FTI’s strategy, marketing, and services for our Federal government clients.
The program is a paid, part time internship offered to students willing to perform research and succinct writing tasks on topics of interest to FTI and its constituents. Interns perform research remotely and contribute written products on selected topics each week of the internship. Internships will be awarded for a minimum of two months and may be extended based on performance and at the discretion of the internship coordinator.
PTR internships are part of FTI’s HUBZone employment focus. The HUBZone program is a U.S. Small Business Administration program that encourages businesses to invest in historically underutilized business zones nationwide, a designation based on current census data. To qualify for the FTI PTR internship, students must be able to verify residence in a SBA-designated HUBZone. Students applying for the internship may visit http://map.sba.gov/hubzone/init.asp#address to search their HUBZone residence status. Our human resources group will provide verification instructions to applicants and will request proper documentation at the time an internship is considered.
